Kaitie went to DHMC today. Met with Drs Murphy and Warhold. Truly top notch service. The fractures are unstable and will require screws and plates to secure them. There was concern that she ruptured a ligament on her thumb but a hastily scheduled ultrasound showed no rupture, just a bad sprain. The swelling is still significant. That condition combined with the estimated time to do the repair, 3+ hours, means no surgery until Friday the 28th.
