Kaitie went skiing today with Kelsey, Alden and Jamie at Pico. On her fifth run, Kaitie went through the terrain park on Knomes Knoll. First Kelsey went off a jump, then Kaitie. Kaitie remembers landing funny and falling but that’s it. She couldn’t move her fingers so she took off her glove. It was “already” swollen. Little did she know it wasn’t really swollen yet, it was badly broken. After calling Mom & Dad, Kaitie got down to the Ski Club with help from her friends. A quick trip to the Killington Mtn Clinic gets us to the photo you see here. Doctor says surgery for sure, given the type and location of the breaks. He talked about “screws” also.
